The works on the commercial version of the input system using the EEG are in full swing and the system is almost ready. However, it is not the only good news. We wrote in January that the thesis by Piotr Palczewski entered the Poland-wide competition for the ABB award and Piotr reached its Stage 1. What is the final of the competition?
An award ceremony in the ABB competition for the 2016/2017 best thesis will be held on 26 May 2017. We are very pleased to announce that Piotr’s master thesis describing the works on the project won the first place. It is a sign for us that we are on the right track and create something unusual.
The main prize is PLN 30,000. It was funded by the ABB Research Centre Director and the Management Board President of ABB Sp. z o.o. It was the competition for doctoral, master and engineer theses written in Polish or English in such fields as modern technologies, automation, power engineering and computer science.
Over 50 theses entered Stage 2 of the competition. All of the theses were of very high standard; all the more, we feel honoured by the award.
Tests are planned to be performed soon with the participation of people whom such equipment may help. We hope we can share some good news with you shortly.
