In just a few months, the representatives of the industry will meet in Krakow, during the 5th International HAZEX Conference. This year’s edition is especially directed to companies which use flammable and explosive dusts in their production processes. The representatives of the pharmaceutical industry, manufacturers of paints, varnishes, household chemicals and others have already confirmed their attendance.

Scope

During the two-day event, the attendees will be able to listen to precisely selected presentations by Polish and European experts. The conference will be held, as was the case before, in two languages – Polish and English. All the presentations, commentaries and questions will be translated by qualified simultaneous interpreters. The speakers will focus not only on legal issues, but also on the practical approach to explosion safety in the industry.

Agenda

The two-day cycle of presentations is divided into several logical blocks. The sessions will show how to handle the fundamental requirements of the ATEX directive and how to minimise the risk of explosion and its effects.

  • BLOCK 1 – Key legal aspects, what you need to know about ATEX;
  • BLOCK 2 – First, do not let the explosion happen (limiting explosive atmospheres and ignition sources);
  • BLOCK 3 – Reduction of the effects of explosion to safe levels;
  • BLOCK 4 – Live demonstration of dust and gas explosions (at a firing ground);
  • BLOCK 5 – Explosion safety vs. fire safety – problems;
  • BLOCK 6 – Modern technologies for improved production safety.

It is worth mentioning, that the conference is also planned to be a training session – the knowledge presented to the attendees will be confirmed with a personal certificate.

Rare occasion – live explosions demonstration

Since 2011, we have organised the only conference in this part of Europe with practical demonstrations of explosions and protection systems. During this year’s edition, there will be a demonstration of industrial dusts and gases explosions to show our attendees just how much potential is contained in even small amounts of these – seemingly safe – products, says Bartosz Wolff, CEO of the WOLFF GROUP.
